It&#39;s about the &quot;timing&quot;. It&#39;s no coincidence!<br /><br />They reduced the oil prices a lot of time after the world crude oil price dropped. They waited till the last moment before elections, reduced the price to gain the trust of the common man. Right now, I&#39;m not fully posted about the on goings in the commodity market, but price of oil is the most crucial thing to the development of the economy and I believe that in India, we must ensure that the price of oil is proportional and as variable as the international market to ensure that the demand rises and falls on cues of price. <br /><br />any regulation can bring about a false sense of security, hurting India in the long run.<br /><br />That said, taxes in India make oil too expensive and oil happens to be the redbull of the economy... Where&#39;s the end to this? when people of our age get into politics? looking at the current state, you, subbu, sidd (probably) and I are already aversive to politics, there&#39;ll surely be more people like us, the rest will be bought by some corporation for some fancy sum of money or on-site opportunities.
